Work with us

From meal to meal

For restaurants, food is at the centre of every day. That is exactly why a partnership with Food2Grow can create a direct, clear link between guests, nutrition and making meals possible within our initiatives.

One dish, one evening or one joint campaign can already be a first step.

Making a difference together

A story that fits your restaurant

In a restaurant, food is not an abstract theme — it is the craft. That makes a partnership with Food2Grow easy to explain to guests and to the team: from a meal with you to making meals possible within our initiatives.

Food2Grow focuses on nutrition as a foundation for growth and development. Nepal is currently the first active initiative, where daily meals for children are central, organised together with local people.

A partnership starts with a conversation. Together we look at what fits the restaurant, the season and the guests — and what is practically feasible alongside day-to-day operations.

  • Financial: a contribution per dish, per evening or from a one-off campaign.
  • Practical: knowledge, network, materials or extra hands during an activity.
  • Visible: a concrete cause that fits what you do every day.

Why work together

Why a partnership can be worthwhile

Being involved in the community does not have to be a separate project. For a hospitality business, nutrition as a theme fits the work naturally.

A natural connection

Food2Grow's theme is nutrition. For a restaurant that is not a detour, but exactly what the work is about.

Easy to explain

A dish or an evening with a cause can be told to guests in one sentence. No complicated construction needed.

Something to do together

A campaign gives the team a shared moment. Chefs, front of house and kitchen can all have a role.

A concrete cause

Food2Grow works with practical initiatives rather than general aims. That makes it clear what a contribution is for.

Guest involvement

Guests who choose a dish or evening with a cause do so voluntarily and for a positive reason.

Feedback afterwards

After a campaign, Food2Grow wants to let you know what the contribution supports, so there is something to tell the team and guests.

Options

Ways of working together

The forms below are examples to talk about. Nothing is fixed and there is no standard construction.

A temporary charity dish

A dish on the menu for a period, with part of the proceeds going to Food2Grow. The amount is for the restaurant to decide.

A contribution per dish sold

A voluntary, fixed amount per dish sold or per cover. Simple to administer and clear for guests.

An evening or event

A special evening, a dinner or an event whose proceeds partly or fully support the initiatives.

A donation or tips campaign

A temporary campaign among guests, or a tips campaign from the team. Always on a voluntary basis.

A staff campaign or matching

The team sets up its own activity and the restaurant matches the proceeds, or contributes a share. What is possible is for the organisation to decide.

Network and practical support

An introduction to suppliers or fellow restaurants, practical support during an activity, or making space and materials available.

Food2Grow does not comment on the tax or legal consequences of an arrangement. For administrative and tax handling, your own accountant or adviser is the right contact.

Inspiration

Examples of campaigns

These examples are meant as inspiration and do not describe existing partnerships. What a restaurant actually does, we agree together.

On the menu

  • A dish of the month with a fixed contribution
  • A seasonal menu in which one course takes part
  • A drink or dessert with a voluntary extra
  • A menu note explaining where the contribution goes

Around a moment

  • A Food2Grow evening with a set menu
  • A campaign during an anniversary or reopening
  • A joint campaign with neighbouring restaurants
  • A communal table or pop-up with a cause

With team and guests

  • A tips campaign during an agreed period
  • A collection box or donation point at the till
  • A team activity in which the restaurant matches the proceeds
  • A sporting or creative activity by the staff

Does the restaurant already have its own campaign or a fixed moment in the year? That is often the easiest starting point.

Food connects

From your kitchen to a daily meal

A meal is more than nutrition. It is a moment when people come together, when someone looks after someone else, and when the day can pause. That is true in a restaurant in the Netherlands, and it is true at a school in Nepal.

In Food2Grow's initiatives, that daily meal is central. Not as emergency aid, but as a foundation: children who have something to eat can manage the school day. Ingredients are bought locally as much as possible, and preparation is done by people from the community itself.

A partnership with a restaurant makes that line visible: the craft you practise every day makes a meal possible elsewhere. That is the whole idea — without big words, and without using children as a way to sell something.

Food2Grow communicates deliberately without guilt or drama. What we tell is what actually happens.

Starting small is welcome

A local restaurant is just as welcome as a chain

A restaurant does not need to be a large national chain to make a difference. A café with ten tables, a lunchroom, a caterer, a food truck or a hotel restaurant: all forms are welcome.

A partnership does not have to start large. One campaign, one evening or one joint initiative can already be a first step. After that, you can always look at whether more fits — or not, and that is fine too.

There is no fixed term, exclusivity or obligation attached to a partnership with Food2Grow. What you do is for you to decide.

  • No minimum amount and no target that has to be met.
  • No contract or fixed period; a one-off campaign is welcome too.
  • Communicate outwardly only if you want to.

How it works

How a partnership works

From a first, no-obligation conversation to feedback after the campaign.

  1. Introduction

A short conversation: we explain what Food2Grow does, you explain what fits the restaurant. No obligation.

  2. Choosing a suitable form together

We look at the concept, the season and how busy you are. From that comes a form that is feasible alongside day-to-day operations.

  3. Carrying out the campaign

You carry out the campaign in the restaurant. Where possible, Food2Grow provides explanation and images for communication with guests.

  4. Sharing feedback and progress

After the campaign, Food2Grow reports back on what the contribution supports. Progress can be followed through updates on the website.

Questions

Frequently asked questions from hospitality businesses

Do we have to commit for a fixed period?

No. There is no contract, no fixed term and no exclusivity. A one-off campaign or a short period is welcome too.

Is there a minimum amount or a minimum scale?

No. A local restaurant with a small campaign is just as welcome as a larger organisation. What you contribute is for you to decide.

What about tax and deductibility?

Food2Grow does not comment on this and does not give tax or legal advice. Stichting Food2Grow has ANBI status; what that means in your situation can be assessed by your own accountant or adviser.

See the ANBI information

Can we also contribute without money?

Yes. A network, knowledge, materials, space or practical support during an activity can also be valuable. What is useful, we discuss in advance.

May we use the Food2Grow logo?

We agree in advance how the name and logo may be used, so that the communication is accurate and no one is given the impression that more has been agreed than is the case.

Where do the proceeds go?

Contributions are used to carry out Food2Grow's initiatives. Nepal is the first active initiative, where daily meals for children are central.
